Can I enroll my non-Invisalign patients in the Vivera retainer program?
Yes! Vivera retainers can be used by any of your patients who need a retention solution, not just those completing Invisalign treatment.
Why are Vivera retainers offered as a subscription with deliveries every three months for a year? Don't clear retainers last longer than 3 months?

What is the warranty for Vivera retainers?
Vivera retainers come with a 30-day fit warranty for only the 1st retainer shipped. This ensures that all sets of Vivera retainers will be maintaining the correct patient dentition. Each set of Vivera retainers also comes with a 3-month manufacturing defect warranty, starting from the date of shipment of that retainer set. This defect warranty is extended to three-months from expected use of the retainer (based on a three-month change interval) if the doctor has accelerated delivery of the retainers.
Are my Invisalign patients enrolled in the Vivera retainer program still eligible for mid-course corrections, case refinements or finishing/detailing?
Invisalign patients enrolled in the Vivera retainer program are no longer eligible for any of these treatment options. Your Invisalign patients must be completely finished with their treatment, with their teeth in the exact position you want to retain when you enroll them in the Vivera retainer program.
What's the difference between Vivera retainers and Invisalign retainers?
Vivera retainers can be used on any patient (Invisalign or not) at any time, providing them with fresh, clean, strong retainers for an entire year. Invisalign retainers are only used for Invisalign patients whose dentition matches a ClinCheck stage (no new impressions allowed) and are used as a short-term retention solution.
What if my patient's dentition changes and their retainers no longer fit?
It is important that your patients wear their retainers per your instructions. Retainers should always fit comfortably and should not be forced into place. Should a patient's teeth relapse during the subscription period beyond what Vivera retainers can self-correct or their dentition changes from unexpected dental work, you will need to submit an additional impression to update the digital file used to make any remaining retainers. This will not correct the relapse, but can prevent further unwanted movement of the teeth.
Can Vivera Retainers correct relapse that has already occurred with my patient prior to their enrollment in the program?
No. Vivera retainers do not correct any unwanted movement (relapse) that has occurred prior to taking impressions as part of enrolling your patient in the Vivera retainer program. Vivera retainers have the ability to self-correct (back to the original retained position) some types of minor relapse up to .25mm that may occur while the patient is enrolled in the program. Should your patient relapse beyond .25mm, this may need to be corrected using orthodontic treatment.
